Oleksandr M. Darchenko (Don)

Soldier Oleksandr Darchenko (call sign Don) was killed on June 9, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of Orikho-Vasylivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior's life was cut short by a bullet from an enemy sniper. The defender was 39 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Sharivka, Kharkiv region. He graduated from the Sharivskyi Lyceum. He worked in the Rost supermarket. He was married and raised children. He worked hard to support his family. He devoted his free time to his loved ones and friends. During the full-scale war, the man without hesitation went to defend his native Kharkiv region. He served in the reconnaissance of the 225th battalion of the 127th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was awarded the medal "For the Defense of Kharkiv". "I will love him forever. Without him, only the children hold me in this world..." - wrote the wife of the fallen. The defender was buried in his native village. At home in Oleksandr, his mother Mariya Vasylivna, his wife Alona, and three children: Andrii, Varvara, and Eva were waiting.
