- Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr Hlushko (call sign Donald) was killed on June 11, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of the city of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region. The 24-year-old defender received fatal injuries during an enemy shelling. Oleksandr was born in the city of Kalynivka, Vinnytsia region. He stuwas killed at the Kalynivka Technological College. The boy could not stay away when the war began in the country, so in 2017 he joined the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He later graduated from the National Academy of the National Guard of Ukraine. After graduation, he was sent for further military service to the 8th regiment of operational designation named after Ivan Bohun. He was the deputy commander of a company on armored vehicles for working with personnel. During the full-scale war, Donald, as part of his unit, continued to defend Ukraine from Russian occupiers in Luhansk. Unfortunately, it was there that the young officer took his last battle. "We have a difference of three months in age. We went to the same group in kindergarten and to the same class in school. For 15 years, we practically spent every day together, and now I cannot come to terms with the fact that he is not there. He is my dearest, best, kindest, most sincere, funniest brother. I want everyone to know about him and not forget what price this war costs us," said the cousin of the fallen warrior. The officer was buried in his hometown in Vinnytsia region. At home, Oleksandr's parents and sister were waiting for him. Posthumously, Senior Lieutenant Oleksandr Hlushko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
