- Born on May 3, 1992, in the village of Slaviiv, Chernyakhiv district, Zhytomyr region. In 2009, he graduated from the sports lyceum in the village of Selyanshchyna, Chernyakhiv district. In 2011, he was drafted for compulsory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 2nd Airborne Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the Airborne Forces of the Ground Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1910, city of Zhytomyr). In 2012, he was discharged from the Armed Forces of Ukraine to the reserve. On March 11, 2014, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 6th Airborne Assault Company of the 2nd Airborne Assault Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1910, city of Zhytomyr). Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation in eastern Ukraine. On June 13, 2014, at around 13:25, in the area of the village of Khrestyshche, Sloviansk district, Donetsk region, during the escort of an evacuation group of army aviation, a column of equipment was fired upon by militants with grenade launchers and small arms. During the battle, the armored personnel carrier of soldier Holiachenko was hit, resulting in him sustaining burns to his torso and limbs, as well as a gunshot shrapnel wound to his left shoulder and forearm. The wounded soldier was immediately taken for treatment to Kharkiv, where he was transferred to the burn center of the 4th Clinical Central Hospital of the city of Kharkiv. On June 16, 2014, at 13:00, according to the information from the duty doctor of the 4th Clinical Central Hospital of the city of Kharkiv, it became known that at 07:40, soldier Holiachenko died from his injuries. On June 19, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Slaviiv, Chernyakhiv district, Zhytomyr region. On June 12, 2015, during the 32nd session of the Chernyakhiv District Council, a decision was made to name the Selyanshchyna Sports Lyceum after Oleksandr Holiachenko. On June 16, 2015, in the village of Selyanshchyna, Chernyakhiv district, a memorial plaque was installed on the facade of the building of the sports lyceum named after Oleksandr Holiachenko (Tvorohova Street, 44), where Oleksandr Holiachenko studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
