Oleksandr M. Kichak (Gaskonets)

33-year-old Oleksandr Kichak (call sign Gascon) was killed on March 9, 2022 near Volnovakha in the Donetsk region. During the exit, the defender came under enemy fire and received multiple shrapnel wounds. He was killed from shock. Oleksandr was born in the city of Lysychansk, Luhansk region. He graduated from the local vocational school No. 51. He worked as a building maintenance worker. During the full-scale war, he defended his native lands as part of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Volodymyr Monomakh. He was a gunner - deputy commander of the BMP. "He was a very good person, he could always come to help. He was a good father and husband! He was a patriot of our country. When he called on the phone, he never said goodbye, because he hoped to return home to the children! He also liked to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the photos he sent, he was always with a smile," said the defender's wife Anna. Oleksandr was buried in the city of Obukhiv, Kyiv region. The hero left behind a mother, sister, wife, son and daughter.
