Oleksandr M. Kovalenko

Kovalenko Oleksandr Mykolayovych was born on August 9, 1985, and lived in the city of Horishni Plavni in Poltava region. During the beginning of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, he was on the front line. He was killed on March 9, 2022, near the city of Izium in Kharkiv region. For personal courage and selfless actions, demonstrated in the defense of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Kovalenko Oleksandr Mykolayovych was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III degree.
