Oleksandr M. Kravchuk

Senior Sergeant Oleksandr Kravchuk was killed in action on July 7, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling in the area of the village of Spirne, Donetsk region. The defender was 48 years old forever. Oleksandr was born in the city of Polonne, Khmelnytskyi region. He received the profession of a driver-mechanic at the Polonne Professional Agrarian Lyceum. Later, he worked as a forester. He was fond of horses. When the full-scale war began, Oleksandr immediately decided to go and defend Ukraine. He joined the ranks of the 10th separate mountain-assault brigade, was a senior instructor of the medical point. "From the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Dad couldn't sit quietly at home and went to defend us as a volunteer. We have a large family, and everyone valued him, because, whatever the circumstances, he always came to the aid of everyone. From childhood, he loved horses very much and was engaged in them. He loved to ride to the forest, knew everything about the forest, every road and path there. He always supported us," said the warrior's daughter Olga. "We will never forget, we will never forgive the death of our countryman Oleksandr Kravchuk, who heroically defended his native land and gave his life for it," wrote the city head Franz Skrimsky. The serviceman was buried in his hometown. At home, Oleksandr's wife and two daughters were waiting for him.
