Oleksandr M. Kushnir

Soldier Oleksandr Kushnir was killed on October 17, 2023, while performing a task at the firing positions near the village of Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region. The defender was 48 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Malyntsi, Chernivtsi region. He studied at the Malynets and Shylovets secondary schools. He was interested in landscape design and studied foreign languages. In his professional field, he followed in his father's footsteps and engaged in carpentry. For about 20 years, they together produced wooden windows and doors, furniture, and many other items to order. Their products still delight their owners. In 2023, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 33rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. He held the position of driver-electrician of the mortar battery. "Oleksandr's favorite subject in school was the Ukrainian language, which is why he always spoke a pure, error-free, and unsullied language. And he became an example for others of how to love their native language. He was always principled, honest, persistent, and had his own civic position. He was a reliable friend and cherished friendship," the Klishkovetska community said. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his parents and older sister.
