Oleksandr M. Maslov

Maslov Oleksandr Mykhailovych was born on October 6, 1992, in the city of Konotop, Sumy region. In 2009, he graduated from Konotop Secondary School of I-III degrees No. 11. In the same year, he entered the Konotop Higher Vocational School, after graduating from which in 2010, he received the specialty of a repair mechanic. He then continued his studies at the National Aerospace University named after M.Ye. Zhukovsky "Kharkiv Aviation Institute", but after a year, he returned to study at the Konotop Higher Vocational School, which he graduated from in 2013 and received the profession of an electric gas welder. Since 2013, he has started his work activity and worked at enterprises in the Konotop region in his specialty. Oleksandr really liked working with metal, he became a true master of his craft and at a fairly young age received the maximum possible grade of an electric gas welder. Due to health reasons, he did not serve in the regular military service. After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation in Ukraine, in April 2022, he was drafted into military service by mobilization. A month of training in Ukraine, then a month of military training from the Turks and Hungarians. After completing the training, he was sent for further military service to military unit 2960 as a grenade launcher soldier. Oleksandr became a skilled soldier, a motivated defender, and when his mother's fears, he said: "Mom, I'm going to protect you." He died on January 15, 2023, while performing a combat mission in the area of the village of Vodiane, Donetsk region. He was buried on the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the city of Konotop, Sumy region.
