Oleksandr M. Mokriak (ZihZah)

30-year-old soldier Oleksandr Mokryak (call sign Zigzag) was killed on October 15, 2023 while performing a combat mission near the settlement of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region. The defender's life was cut short by enemy artillery shelling. Oleksandr was born in the village of Sotnikivka, Kyiv region. He studied at the local school. He then graduated from the Yahotyn Vocational Education Center. Since 2011, he worked as an operator at the production site of the enterprise "Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine Limited". In 2018, he moved to the city of Zolotonosha in the Cherkasy region. He led an active sports life, played football and had remarkable success in this sport. He was passionate about winter and summer fishing. During the full-scale war, the man joined the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. After training, he went to defend the eastern direction. "He was one of those who wanted to defend his homeland, despite any difficulties!" - said the deceased's girlfriend Alina Oleksienko. Oleksandr was buried on the Alley of Heroes of the Central Cemetery in Zolotonosha. He is survived by his mother, sisters, brothers and girlfriend.
