- Soldier Oleksandr Savelyev (call sign Tsar) was killed on March 1, 2022, while defending the city of Kherson from Russian occupiers. In March, the warrior would have turned 63 years old. Oleksandr was born in the city of Semipalatinsk (Kazakhstan). He lived in the settlement of Bilozerka in the Kherson region. He received a secondary education. He worked as a truck driver. He was married and raised two children. Since 2015, he has served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation in Donbas. He was repeatedly awarded by the command. After the completion of the second contract, he returned to civilian work. With the start of the full-scale war, the man took up arms again and stood up to defend Ukraine. He fought against the occupiers as part of the 124th separate brigade of the territorial defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Kherson region, which became his native land. "He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He always responded to requests for help, had many friends and acquaintances. He was friendly and had an active life position. When Ukraine was on the path to independence in 1991, he was the first to bring our yellow and blue flag to Bilozerka," said the daughter of the fallen. The defender was buried in the settlement of Bilozerka in the Kherson region. Oleksandr is survived by his wife Neonila, son Mykola and daughter Anna.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
