Oleksandr M. Shnaider (Shnaider)

Soldier Oleksandr Schneider died on February 9, 2024 in the military hospital in Kharkiv. The day before, he had gone to the combat position to deliver provisions. In the village of Novoyegorivka, shelling from an anti-tank missile system began. The warrior received a blast injury to the lungs and internal organs. His condition was very serious. For three days, the doctors fought for his life, but they were unable to save the man. Oleksandr was 32 years old. He was born in the city of Berezne, Rivne region. He received a complete secondary general education and obtained driver's licenses for all categories. He loved speed. He enjoyed riding and repairing motorcycles. This hobby eventually grew into a favorite business that brought him income. "Repairing motorcycles and scooters of various complexity - everything was within Sasha's power. He loved dogs, cats, and adored fishing. He was a person who always helped. He wanted to see people around him smiling, he always joked," said his sister Natalia Schneider. Oleksandr was drafted into military service on May 2, 2023. He held the position of mechanic-driver of the medical unit of the 68th separate Yager brigade named after Oleksa Dovbush. The warrior was buried on the Alley of Glory in his hometown. The warrior is survived by his parents, sister, and nephew.
