Oleksandr M. Snitko (Sashko)

Senior Sergeant Oleksandr Snitko was killed on June 25, 2023 in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Yakovlivka, Donetsk region. The warrior was 43 years old forever. Oleksandr was born in the city of Bobrovytsia, Chernihiv region. He received secondary education at the school in the village of Ozeriany. Then he served in the military. Before the invasion, he worked at the Brovary Aluminum Plant. He adored fishing, traveling, hiking and trips to nature. In March 2023, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to war. He served in the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He held the position of gunner of the mechanized platoon. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the eastern direction of the front. "Eternal memory to our Hero. We are grateful for the opportunity to live on this land and for defending our beloved Ukraine," said the wife of the fallen Olga. The military was buried in the village of Druzhba, Chernihiv region. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his mother, brother, wife and daughter.
