Oleksandr M. Voichyk (Zelenyi)

Soldier Oleksandr Voichyk (call sign Zelonyi) was killed on September 14, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the village of Sosnove in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 39 years old at the time of his death. Oleksandr was born in the city of Novovolynsk in the Volyn region. He graduated from the local school No. 7 and then trained as a plasterer and tiler. He worked in his specialty in Latvia. Recently, he lived in the village of Buzhanka in Volyn. During the full-scale invasion, he voluntarily enlisted in the territorial defense. He then fought as part of the 81st Separate Airborne Brigade, holding the position of a gunner. "Sashko had golden hands. After returning home, he planned to start a personal life... He wanted to open his own business. He moved to the village to grow agricultural crops. He gave his life without ever starting his own family. I mourn, I love him endlessly..." wrote his fiancée Olga Romanchuk. The warrior was buried in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his mother, fiancée, and sister. Posthumously, he was awarded the Order of Courage III degree.
