Oleksandr M. Yasinskyi (Died)

55-year-old senior soldier Oleksandr Yasinskyi (call sign Ded) was killed on April 27, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the city of Rubizhne in the Luhansk region. During a mortar attack, he sustained a severe shrapnel wound that was incompatible with life. Oleksandr was born in the village of Kotyuzhany, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from school there. He then obtained the profession of an electric locomotive driver at the Lyman Vocational School in the Donetsk region. He served in the border troops of the Republic of Azerbaijan. From a young age, he was involved in sports and participated in district competitions. Even during the formation of units and preparation for relocation to the front line from the beginning of the war, he found the strength and desire to play table tennis and volleyball. During the full-scale war, the man joined the ranks of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to protect his country from the enemy. He served in the ranks of the 111th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was a senior rifleman. "From the first days of the war, the man voluntarily went to defend our Motherland. The thought of sitting with his hands folded was not in his mind. He said: 'It is the duty of every man to defend his land, home, and family. Who, if not us?' - said the wife of the deceased, Oksana. Oleksandr was buried in his native village. At home, he was awaited by his parents, wife, two daughters, and granddaughter.
