Oleksandr M. Zhadinets (Sanpai)

Soldier Oleksandr Zhadinets (call sign Sanpai) was killed on November 27, 2023 near the village of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he came under enemy mortar fire. According to his relatives, as a result of the first wave of explosions, he sustained leg injuries, but managed to crawl to the assault rifle of his comrade, who had been killed nearby. As a result of the second wave of shelling, he sustained multiple injuries incompatible with life. He was found with two assault rifles in his hands. On December 7, the soldier would have turned 53 years old. Oleksandr was a native of the village of Pishchane, Poltava region. In 1989, he obtained the profession of tractor-machine operator at the Reshetylivka SPTU No. 52. In civilian life, he was a tile-laying builder. He spent a significant part of his life working on construction sites in Kyiv. He collected coins. At the time of the full-scale invasion, the man lived near Kyiv and, due to regular shelling, was evacuated to Chernivtsi. There, on May 25, 2023, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. After training, he defended the Bakhmut direction as part of the 107th separate brigade of territorial defense. He held the position of mechanic-driver in the 92nd battalion. "He was an incredibly kind, sincere, and intelligent person, fighting for justice," said the deceased's daughter. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Zaturynsky cemetery in the Poltava region. Oleksandr is survived by his daughter Yulia, sister Liubov, and brothers Mykhailo and Serhii.
