Oleksandr O. Bahniuk

Born on March 17, 1977, in the city of Shepetivka, Khmelnytskyi region. Later, he moved with his parents to the city of Illintsi, Vinnytsia region, for permanent residence. In 1994, he graduated from general education school No. 2 in Illintsi (now the educational complex "General Education School I–III degrees — Gymnasium No. 2"). In the Armed Forces of Ukraine since August 1, 1994. In 1998, he graduated from the Kharkiv Tank Troops Institute named after the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Since 1998, he served in the 72nd Mechanized Division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since 2000 — 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade), with his last position being the deputy commander of the 3rd mechanized battalion for armament. Since the spring of 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in Eastern Ukraine. He was buried on September 16, 2014, at the Central Cemetery in the city of Illintsi, Vinnytsia region.
