Oleksandr O. Belozerov (Medyk, Psykh)

34-year-old combat medic Oleksandr Belozerov (call signs Medic, Psych) was killed on October 10, 2022, in battles with Russian occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. Oleksandr was from Poltava region. He spent his childhood at his grandmother's in the village of Kolomatske, where he graduated from the local school. Later, he obtained a chef's qualification at Poltava Vocational Technical School No. 31. He was passionate about football. He worked in a correctional colony and then went abroad for work. When the full-scale war began, Oleksandr returned from abroad to defend Ukraine. Although his family advised him against it, he confidently went to the military enlistment office. He joined the ranks of the 36th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Bilynskyi. He served as a combat medic. "When the war started, he said he would come back and go to defend Ukraine. We all told him not to, to stay there. But he didn't listen, he came back and said, 'Who, if not us, will defend?'" said the sister of the fallen warrior. Oleksandr was buried in the village of Kolomatske in Poltava region, where he spent his childhood. He is survived by his mother, two brothers, and a sister.
