Oleksandr O. Bohachuk

Sailor Oleksandr Bohachuk died on December 7, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Tyahynka in the Kherson region. The warrior was 28 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Handrabury, Odesa region. After school, he obtained the profession of a cook at the Ananyiv Professional Agrarian Lyceum. However, he did not work in his profession, but instead was a construction worker. He spent his free time with his family. In early February 2023, the man joined the Ukrainian Navy. He served in the self-propelled artillery division of the 37th separate brigade of the marine corps. "My husband was a very courageous, kind, and cheerful person. He always helped everyone who asked. He never complained that it was difficult for him and always said that everything would be fine," Tetiana Bohachuk said. "Oleksandr was proud that he was protecting his loved ones. He felt at home, felt the shoulder of his comrades-in-arms, and was a faithful and reliable friend to them. This is how he was raised - as a conscientious and honest guy who carried out his military duty without a doubt and fear. He believed that he would soon return home, that we would soon defeat the enemy. He was making further plans with his beloved Tetiana, missed his daughters so much and wanted to see them so badly... Rest in peace, warrior! Eternal glory and our eternal memory and gratitude to you!" - noted in the Ananyiv community. The marine was buried in the central cemetery of his native village. At home, his wife and two daughters were waiting for Oleksandr.
