Oleksandr O. Diundik

Main Sergeant Oleksandr Diundik (call sign Patron) was killed on February 9, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission in the village of Klishchiyivka, Donetsk region. The defender was 33 years old. The soldier was born in the city of Shostka, Sumy region. He graduated from the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. He worked in the police, police, and border service. His last job was as a court security officer in the Shostka city-district court. He loved fishing. He joined the defense of the Motherland during the ATO. During the full-scale war, he defended the country as part of the 5th separate assault brigade. He held the position of senior rifleman of the 1st assault squad of the 1st assault platoon of the 1st assault company of the 1st assault battalion. He was awarded the President of Ukraine's distinction "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation", the medal "Defender of the Fatherland", and the badge "Veteran of War". The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his wife, son, mother, brother, uncle, and grandmother.
