Oleksandr O. Druz

Born on August 1, 1995, in the urban-type settlement of Lyubashivka, Odesa region. Graduated from the Educational Complex "General Secondary School I-III degrees - Gymnasium" of the urban-type settlement of Lyubashivka and the Lyubashivka branch of the state vocational and technical educational institution "Savransky Vocational Agricultural College" with a specialty in "electric mechanic." Worked at the farm "Osnova-2" in the urban-type settlement of Lyubashivka. In the Armed Forces of Ukraine since the end of 2013. Served under contract first as a grenade launcher, then as a tank driver-mechanic of the tank battalion of the 28th Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A0666, urban-type settlement of Chornomorske, Kominternivskyi district (since 2016 - Lyman district) of Odesa region). Since July 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 16, 2014, soldier Druzi was killed during a shelling from the Grad multiple rocket launcher at the brigade's positions in the area of the village of Blahodatne, Amvrosiivskyi district of Donetsk region. Along with him, 5 other servicemen were killed. On August 23, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the urban-type settlement of Lyubashivka, Odesa region.
