- Lieutenant Oleksandr Hinzhul (call sign San Sanich) was killed on December 21, 2022 near the settlement of Kurdyumivka in the Donetsk region. While evacuating his comrades from encirclement, he received fatal injuries during enemy shelling. The officer did not live 8 days until his 31st birthday. Oleksandr was born in the village of Baksha, Odesa region. He was a resident of Odesa. He studied at the National University "Odesa Polytechnic". In parallel, he completed the military department and became a reserve officer. He worked at a company that manufactures aluminum windows. He studied the processes of growing agricultural crops and planned to engage in this. He dreamed of buying harvesters and tractors of the models considered the best on the world market. In 2017, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in military unit A4218 as an information processing officer at the intelligence center. In 2017-2018, he participated in the ATO / JFO in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. With the start of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr returned to the army and went to the front. He held the position of commander of the machine gun platoon of the 28th separate mechanized brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign. He defended the Mykolaiv region, liberated the Kherson region, and fought for the Donetsk region. "Oleksandr was the best of all people on the planet. Every girl dreams of a man like him. Kind, sincere, fair, honest. The most caring dad who dreamed of a daughter all his life. He dreamed of a happy family and did everything possible for this. A loving son and brother, the best friend and godfather. A responsible and the best commander who led 2 platoons in the 28th OMBr, worried and cared about each of his comrades-in-arms. "If we had to go into battle with him again, we would go without hesitation!" - his comrades-in-arms say about him," his wife Svitlana said. The hero was buried in the settlement of Lyubashivka, Odesa region. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his parents, wife, daughter, sister, many relatives and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
