Oleksandr O. Horobchenko

30-year-old soldier Oleksandr Horobchenko was killed on January 21, 2024 while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Pishchane in the Kharkiv region. When he was evacuating his comrades from the battlefield, he received fatal injuries. Oleksandr was born in the village of Kochkuvate, Odesa region. He lived in the city of Izmail for the last 14 years. He obtained the profession of a mechanic at the local technical school. He worked as a driver-expeditor at LLC "Corona", servicing stores. During the full-scale war, the man became a fighter of the 41st separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a driver. During his service, he received a commendation from the operational command "South". "Courageous, strong, brave. The best father, the best son and the most beloved husband in the world... Now only memories of you, in our hearts you are a hero," wrote the wife of the deceased Olena. The warrior was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the city of Izmail, Odesa region. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, sister, wife and two children.
