Oleksandr O. Kasatik (Snaiper)

27-year-old serviceman Oleksandr Kasatik (call sign Tyapa) was killed on June 12, 2023 in the village of Verbove, Zaporizhzhia region. During the performance of a combat mission, he sustained injuries incompatible with life. Oleksandr was born in the village of Petrivka, Mykolaiv region, and then moved with his family to the village of Stanislavchyk. After graduating from school, he completed his studies at the Marynivskyi Professional Agrarian Lyceum. He loved fishing from childhood. In the autumn of 2016, Oleksandr was conscripted for military service. He served in the 25th Separate Airborne Brigade. Later, he signed a contract. In 2018-2019, he participated in the war in eastern Ukraine. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the man was in the same unit, and later joined the 47th Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he held the position of reconnaissance operator of the reconnaissance platoon of the 1st Mechanized Battalion. He studied in Germany. He loved his work very much. "Oleksandr was a kind, sincere person, he never left anyone in trouble. Brave, courageous, always went forward. He dreamed of a big, happy family, but, unfortunately, did not live to see it, he was killed..." said Ilona Kasatik, the wife of his brother. Oleksandr was buried in the village of Stanislavchyk. The warrior is survived by his mother, twin brother, and sister.
