Oleksandr O. Koloniuk (Skorp)

Soldier Oleksandr Koloniuk (call sign Scorpion) was killed on May 15, 2023 in battle with the occupiers near the city of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The defender was 19 years old. Oleksandr was born and lived in Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. He studied at school No. 12 with in-depth study of information technology. Later he entered the Bila Tserkva Vocational and Technical School named after Pavlo Popovych. From a young age, he played hockey, playing as a forward on the youth team "Bilyi Bars". With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the guy joined the local volunteer formation of the territorial community No. 1 of Bila Tserkva, and later became a fighter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Oleksandr served in the ranks of the 24th separate assault battalion "Aydar" of the 53rd Separate Mechanized Brigade. "Sanya was a bright and smiling person. He always smiled, even in the most difficult moments. He always said: 'Don't get yourself worked up, everything will be fine.' A very kind and sensitive guy, he never refused anything. He loved his family and me very much. He was always friendly with his classmates and friends," said the deceased's beloved Sofia. The young warrior was buried in the "Sukhyi Yar" cemetery in his hometown. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his parents Oleksandr and Maryna, sister Marharyta, girlfriend, relatives and friends.
