Oleksandr O. Mishchuk

52-year-old Junior Sergeant Oleksandr Mishchuk was killed in action on June 27, 2022, in a battle with the occupiers near the village of Verkhnekamianka in Luhansk region. The defender received fatal injuries during enemy shelling. Oleksandr was from the village of Velyka Medvedivka, Khmelnytskyi region. He stu at Novytska secondary school. In 1988, he received the profession of a turner at Shepetivka vocational school No. 20. He worked as a handyman. He lived with his family in Polonne. In his free time, he loved to fish, collect mushrooms, and have picnics with his children. During the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, the man did not stay away and stood up to defend Ukraine. He was the commander of the 3rd rifle company's division of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Sasha was a kind, honest person, a loving father. Everyone respected him: friends, relatives, and comrades," said his wife Oksana. "Eternal memory to you, my dear kum, and bright memory to the Hero of Ukraine!", wrote Raisa Novodvorczhuk. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory of the New Cemetery in Polonne, Khmelnytskyi region. Oleksandr left behind a wife and children.
