- Soldier Oleksandr Pavlichenko (call sign Maloy) died on September 2, 2024 while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Borki in Kursk Oblast, Russia. The defender was 29 years old. The soldier was born in Okhtyrka, Sumy Oblast. He obtained the profession of agricultural machinery technician-mechanic at the Okhtyrka College of Sumy National Agrarian University. He loved to cook very much. He worked as a pizza chef in the "Pitsemaniia" cafe. From 2014 to 2020, he defended the country in the Donetsk direction. In February 2016, he was awarded the decoration of the President of Ukraine "For Participation in the Anti-Terrorist Operation". During the full-scale war, he fought as part of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was a senior rifleman-operator of the 3rd rifle squad of the 1st rifle platoon of the 1st rifle company. "Oleksandr was a kind, sincere, and brave person. He gave his life for the independence of his country and the future of Ukraine," said the warrior's stepmother Iryna. The defender was buried in his hometown. Oleksandr is survived by his father Oleksandr Volodymyrovych, sister Albina, and grandmother Tetiana Oleksandrivna.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
