Oleksandr O. Savchenko

Savchenko Oleksandr Oleksandrovych was born on July 27, 1987 in Kyiv. From 1994 to 2004, he studied at secondary school No. 161. During 2004-2010, he studied at the National Aviation University, where he obtained a higher education degree in "Aviation and Astronautics" and received the qualification of an engineer in the management and maintenance of aviation systems. Since the fall of 2010, he started working at the state enterprise "Antonov", and from the fall of 2011 to 2012 - at the airline "Aerosvit". From 2013 until the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he was a leading engineer at the airline "Ukraine International Airlines". Since 2015, he lived with his family in Vyshhorod. On April 2, 2022, he took up the defense of our country and joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as an anti-aircraft gunner of the 2nd anti-aircraft missile platoon of the anti-aircraft missile battery of the 66th separate mechanized brigade. He carried out combat missions in the hottest areas near the settlements of Marinka, Sloviansk, Ternі, Nevske, Makiivka. He was killed on December 11, 2022 while performing a combat mission near the city of Makiivka, Donetsk region.
