Oleksandr O. Serdechnyi

32-year-old serviceman Oleksandr Serdechnyi was killed on August 29, 2022, during the liberation of the Kherson region from Russian occupiers. Between the villages of Novovoznesenske and Myroliubivka, the defender received fatal injuries. Oleksandr was born in the village of Velyka Medvedivka, Khmelnytskyi region. After finishing school, he served in the army. He was fond of numismatics and took care of animals. In 2015, after mobilization, he decided to build a military career. He served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract. He performed combat tasks in the area of the Anti-Terrorist Operation/ Joint Forces Operation in Donbas. During the full-scale war, he continued to defend Ukraine as part of the 128th separate mountain assault Zakarpattia brigade. He was a machine gunner. was killed "There was no kinder and more sincere person on this earth. He always took care of those who were nearby and needed help," said the deceased's aunt, Olena. "Oleksandr was a brave warrior and patriot, he went to defend his family, his country, his homeland, and us...," noted the Antonivka community. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory in the city of Horodok, Khmelnytskyi region. Oleksandr left behind his mother and two sisters.
