Oleksandr O. Serdiuk (Pidpolkovnyk)

Serdyuk Oleksandr Oleksandrovych was born in 1981 in the city of Hlukhiv in the Sumy region. He studied at Hlukhiv Secondary School No. 6, then entered the Hlukhiv National Pedagogical University. Later, he obtained a law degree from the Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs. He went through a good school of one of the secret Ukrainian services, holding the rank of lieutenant colonel. In 2020, he came to serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as an ordinary soldier as part of the 16th separate motorized infantry battalion of the 58th separate motorized infantry brigade. From the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022, he was at the forefront, carrying out combat missions. He was killed on June 1, 2022, near the village of Pokrovske in the Bakhmut community of the Donetsk region. The farewell ceremony for the fallen took place on June 11, 2022, in the Three-Anastasia Cathedral. Oleksandr Serdyuk was buried at the Voznesensky cemetery in the city of Hlukhiv.
