Biography
Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Shtoiunda was born on May 29, 1988, in the village of Kisnytsya, Tulchyn district, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from a military lyceum and the Lviv Military Academy named after Petro Sahaidachny. He was the deputy battalion commander for airborne training - the head of the airborne service. In July 2014, during the battle for the village of Izvaryne in the Luhansk region, he showed courage and heroism, leading a column of ammunition. During the detonation of the column on an explosive device, he did not stop the movement, and without losses led the column to a safe place, the ammunition was delivered to the firing positions in a timely manner. He participated in the battles for Mariupol, Krasnoperekopsk, Bilokamyanka. He was killed on May 27, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Velyke Artakove, Mykolaiv region. On June 6, 2022, he was buried in the village of Kisnytsya. He is survived by his mother, sister, and niece.Burial place

- Major Oleksandr Shtoiunda died on May 27, 2022 near the village of Velyke Artakove in the Mykolaiv region. In the battle with the occupiers, he received fatal injuries during enemy shelling. The officer was 33 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Zabolotne, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from a military lyceum and the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny in Lviv. After graduation, he was assigned to the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade and moved to Bila Tserkva, Kyiv region. Since 2014, the man has been participating in the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation. During the full-scale war, he fought for the Motherland in the ranks of the 18th Separate Battalion of the Marine Corps of the 35th Separate Marine Brigade. He held the position of deputy battalion commander for airborne training - head of the airborne service. During his service, Oleksandr was repeatedly awarded, in particular the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi of the III degree, the "For Service to the State" award, the medal "For Achievements in Military Service", "For Personal Courage and Bravery", "For the Defense of Mariupol" and the Order of Courage of the III degree (posthumously). "My brother dreamed of being a soldier, dreamed of having a family, children. He was a very kind, beautiful and honest person," said the deceased's sister Olha. The hero was buried in the village of Kisnytsya, Vinnytsia region. Oleksandr is survived by his mother, sister, niece and grandmother.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
