Oleksandr O. Shuliepov

Artilleryman Oleksandr Shuliepov was killed in action on March 6, 2022, defending Kharkiv region from Russian occupiers. The warrior was 42 years old. Oleksandr was born in Sumy city. He stu at a mathematical lyceum and then received higher education at Sumy National Agrarian University on the faculty of economics and management. After graduation, he worked in the Sumy branches of "Oschadbank" and managed "Silpo" stores. In 2015, he moved to Odesa, where he took up the position of head of the "ATB" trade network. In January 2021, the man went to military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 40th Separate Artillery Brigade named after Grand Duke Vytautas. He held the position of senior radio operator. He fought in the territory of the Joint Forces Operation in Donetsk region. During the full-scale war, Oleksandr continued to defend Ukraine from the occupiers. He took part in battles on Kharkiv region. "On March 5, 2022, there was a battle. They hit a BTR, the car caught fire, the crew , except for the driver. Sashko saved a guy Denis from Kharkiv. He pulled him out of the burning car. Denis lay in the Lviv hospital for 3.5 months - complete amnesia, multiple injuries." Sofia, Oleksandr's daughter, after her father's death, posted about him on the internet. At the end of April, a guy called her and said that he recognized the soldier who pulled him out and shouted all the time: "Hold on, boy, we'll break through!", Svetlana Fedorivna, the mother of the deceased, said. "A wonderful manager, a caring family man, a passionate patriot of his country, and just a man with a huge kind heart - that's how Oleksandr Shuliepov will forever remain in the memory of his relatives and acquaintances. Relatives lost contact with the hero on March 6, 2022. Oleksandr was in Kharkiv region, liberating the territory of Slobozhanshchyna from Russian occupation. Together with the brigade, piece by piece, meter by meter... Shots that day did not cease for a moment... The life of Oleksandr Shuliepov and hundreds of people who loved, valued, respected, and simply knew him personally was cut short on the battlefield, suddenly and tragically. For his country and peaceful sky over Ukrainians," noted in Sumy University. The fighter was buried in Odesa. Oleksandr was survived by his mother and daughter. Soldier Oleksandr Shuliepov was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.
