Oleksandr O. Skvarskyi (Monhol)

Military serviceman Oleksandr Skvarskiy (call sign Mongol) was killed on August 29, 2022, during an enemy artillery shelling in the area of the village of Mykolaivka Druha in Donetsk region. The defender was 36 years old. Oleksandr was born in the town of Sosnytsia in Chernihiv region. He obtained a degree in accounting from the Sosnytsia Agricultural Technical School. He served his mandatory military service in the army. When he returned home, he got a job as a seller of household appliances. During the full-scale war, Oleksandr was called up to serve in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior operator of the reconnaissance platoon of military unit A7105. "My husband was the best and defended his country and family," said his wife Natalia Skvarska. "Cursed war... Eternal light memory... The sky of Ukraine is crying – grief, tears, death, and fear – oh, Rashists, henchmen, be cursed for ages..." wrote fellow villager Larysa Lavrinenko. The defender was buried in his native village in Chernihiv region. At home, his wife and two underage children were waiting for Oleksandr.
