Oleksandr O. Tsymbalist

Soldier Oleksandr Tsymbalist (call sign Tsymbal) died on February 1, 2023 from a fatal shrapnel wound to the neck, received while performing a combat mission near the village of Nykyforivka, Donetsk region. The defender was 31 years old. The warrior was born in the village of Chervone, Zhytomyr region. He lived in the city of Korosten. There, at vocational school No. 16, he obtained the profession of a crane operator. He worked at a factory as a welder's assistant. During the full-scale invasion, he defended the Motherland as part of the 30th separate mechanized brigade, serving as a gunner. For his service, soldier Oleksandr Tsymbalist was awarded the medal "For Courage in Battle" and the honorary distinction of the President of Ukraine "For Courage and Bravery". "He was a very good man, he helped everyone, he never offended anyone. Everyone around him respected him very much. He loved animals. He was passionate about wood carving. He constantly wanted to build and repair something," said his wife Olha. The defender was buried at the Zhytomyr cemetery in the city of Korosten. Oleksandr is survived by his wife, mother, sister and two brothers.
