Biography
Timchenko Oleksandr Oleksandrovych was born on February 18, 1999, in the village of Chemuzhivka, Zmiivskyi district, Kharkiv region. He served in the 4th brigade of operational assignment named after the Hero of Ukraine Sergeant Serhii Mykhalchuk. From February to April 2020, he carried out official combat missions in the area of the Joint Forces Operation (JFO). Among his subordinates, Junior Sergeant Timchenko was held in high regard as he possessed exceptional leadership qualities and was a worthy example for the soldiers. On February 23, 2022, due to the tense operational situation ahead of the large-scale invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, the military operational reserve of the brigade was urgently redeployed to Luhansk region. On February 26, 2022, in the village of Triokhizbenka, Shchastynskyi district, Luhansk region, under constant enemy heavy artillery fire, Oleksandr took a firing position, allowing his comrades from his squad to exit the danger zone. Oleksandr Timchenko destroyed an enemy BMP with a grenade, along with the infantry. Having bravely engaged in battle, the junior sergeant enabled his comrades to retreat, while he remained on the battlefield and was killed as a hero. For personal courage and heroism demonstrated in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Timchenko was posthumously awarded the title of "Hero of Ukraine" with the Order of the "Golden Star." For personal courage and selfless actions displayed in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Oleksandr Oleksandrovych Timchenko was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Burial place
