Oleksandr O. Urbanovich

Soldier Oleksandr Urbanovich was killed on March 3, 2022 during the defense of the city of Chernihiv. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of a Russian air strike. The defender was 32 years old. Oleksandr was born in the city of Hlukhiv, Sumy region. Later, he moved to the city of Chernihiv with his family. There he studied at school No. 8. In 2010, he graduated from the Professional College of Transport and Computer Technologies of the National University "Chernihiv Polytechnic" with a degree in "Maintenance and Repair of Automobiles and Engines", and in 2013 - the correspondence department of the Taras Shevchenko National Pedagogical University of Chernihiv with a degree in "Technology and Drawing". He worked at various enterprises, but he liked cars, repair and tuning. So later he professionally engaged in car repair at a service station. Oleksandr's favorite phrase was: "Everything that has a beginning has an end." With the start of the full-scale invasion, in February 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 119th separate brigade of the territorial defense. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the city of Chernihiv. "He was a good person and a good father. We met in school years and have many good memories. In the first days of the full-scale invasion, he bravely went to defend our city from the Russian invasion. And for this he was killed, unfortunately, but became forever a Hero of Ukraine," said the deceased's friend Anna. Oleksandr was buried in Chernihiv. He left behind his parents, wife and daughter.
