Oleksandr O. Zverev

28-year-old Sergeant Oleksandr Zverev was killed in Kherson region during an artillery shelling on the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion. Oleksandr was born in Khmelnytskyi region. He graduated from the college of Podilskyi State Agrarian-Technical University. He was interested in football. He never pursued a career in his field of study - he decided that his calling was military service. Since 2012, the man served in the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Since 2014, he took part in the ATO. Oleksandr Zverev met the occupiers while serving in the 309th Regiment of the Independent Engineering Battalion of the 48th Kamyanets-Podilskyi Engineering Brigade. "He was a fair man and devoted to his work," his wife Anastasiya said. The serviceman was buried in Kherson region. Oleksandr is survived by his mother, brother-serviceman, wife, and daughter. Oleksandr Zverev was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" III class.
