- Soldier Oleksandr Hamula (call sign Tykhy) was killed on January 28, 2023, near the village of Malinivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. He sustained fatal injuries as a result of an artillery bombardment while carrying out a combat mission. He would have turned 33 years old in two days. Oleksandr was born in the village of Rudnyky in the Volyn region. He graduated from the Lutsk Higher Vocational School of Construction and Architecture, obtaining the qualification of a painter-plasterer. He was passionate about repairing machinery, particularly cars and motorcycles. In 2014, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) as part of the 51st Separate Mechanized Brigade, where he held the position of a sapper. He then returned to civilian life and worked as a security guard at the private enterprise TD "Salut". During the full-scale war, the man took up arms for a second time and stood to defend his native country. He served in the 74th battalion of the 102nd Separate Brigade of the Territorial Defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a scout. "My beloved husband was a bright, positive, sincere, and kind person. He always tried to help everyone and support them. For me, he was the whole universe," said Tetyana Hamula. The warrior was buried in his native village. Oleksandr is survived by his parents, brothers, sisters, wife, and daughter, whom he did not have the chance to see.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
