Oleksandr P. Hushel (Elektryk)

Sergeant Oleksandr Hushel (call sign Electrician) was killed on March 1, 2024 near the village of Tonenkhe in the Donetsk region. While performing his official duties, he received fatal injuries as a result of a hostile drone attack. On February 27, the defender turned 50 years old. Oleksandr was a resident of Kyiv. He had a higher economic education, but did not work in his specialty. In civilian life, he was a technical supervisor in the construction company "BC Building Technologies". He was passionate about everything he undertook and saw it through to the end. In his free time, he liked to go to the cinema or the shooting range. In the first days of the full-scale war, the man joined the defense forces. He held the position of rifleman - assistant grenade launcher in the 127th battalion of the 112th separate brigade of the territorial defense. He was awarded a departmental award of the Main Intelligence Directorate. "My father was wise, calm and always made well-considered decisions, you could rely on him without a doubt. I remember how we met in one of the directions in Druzhkivka, but I regret that we did not take a photo, because both of us did not like to be photographed..." - shared his son Oleksandr. The defender was buried in the village of Zhukin, Kyiv region. He left behind a wife, two daughters, a son and a grandson.
