Oleksandr R. Terletskyi (Polyn)

Soldier Oleksandr Terletskyy (call sign Polyny) was killed on December 6, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 38 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Kalinivka in the Kyiv region. He lived in the village of Makariv in the Kyiv region. He received his education at the Makariv Medical Professional College. For some time he worked as a paramedic, but before the full-scale invasion, he was an employee of an auto shop. He loved his family. He adored animals. He read a lot and traveled with his family around Ukraine. During the full-scale war, the man defended the Motherland as part of the Separate Presidential Brigade named after Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky. He held the position of medical instructor at the medical station. In the summer of 2022, the fighter was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "For Excellence in Military Service" of the III degree. "The best man and father. A reliable support for the family, sensitive and kind. A bright person who always smiled, no matter what happened. He was an example for his comrades-in-arms, saved many lives," said the wife of the fallen Inna Shcherbakova. The hero was buried at the Berkovetsky cemetery in Kyiv. Oleksandr is survived by his wife, daughter, mother-in-law, and aunt.
