Oleksandr S. Dmytruk

Dmytruk Oleksandr Stepanovych was born in 1970 in the village of Karpylivka, Kamyanka-Buzka district, in Volyn. He lived and worked in Kovel city. During the war in Eastern Ukraine, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2014 and became a participant in the ATO. He later continued his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine under contract. With the start of the full-scale military invasion of Russia in Ukraine, he joined the territorial defense forces. However, he later decided that his knowledge and experience would be more needed at the front and went to the front as a volunteer. He was killed on March 31, 2022 during an enemy shelling, saving a wounded commander, near the village of Chervone, Mykolaiv district, Mykolaiv region. The farewell ceremony took place on April 4, 2022 in the Svyato-Blahovishchensky Cathedral in Kovel city.
