Oleksandr S. Dobrydniuk

33-year-old soldier Oleksandr Dobrydniuk died on April 17, 2022, in a hospital in Dnipro. Two days prior, he was wounded in a battle with the enemy near the village of Novoselivka in Donetsk region. Oleksandr was from Vinnytsia. He graduated from the Ukrainian State Academy of Railway Transport. He worked as a machine operator for railway construction machines at Ukrzaliznytsia. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, was interested in IT, and was passionate about knife making. During the full-scale Russian invasion, he joined the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 110th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after General Mark Bezruchko and held the position of a kitchen driver in the supply platoon of the supply group. "Sasha was a very honest person, he always wanted everything to be fair. He was very hardworking, extremely friendly, and sociable, always the life of the party. He strived to be the first in everything. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, he volunteered to defend his homeland. He will forever remain in our hearts. He is our HERO!" said the fallen soldier's sister, Alina. "He was only 33 years old... Thanks to such true heroes, we can live, breathe, and continue working. This is an irreparable loss for relatives, friends, and colleagues. It is difficult to find words that could express the whole sorrow that fills us. May he rest in peace. Glory to Sasha! Glory to our Heroes! Glory to the Nation!" wrote on the page of the railway workers' union. The defender was buried at Sabarivske cemetery in Vinnytsia region. Oleksandr is survived by his mother and sister.
