Oleksandr S. Hreshylo

A 35-year-old serviceman, Oleksandr Hreshylo, was killed on February 26, 2022, during an enemy rocket attack on a military unit in the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy region. The defender's death was instantaneous. Oleksandr was born in the city of Krolevets in Sumy region. He graduated from a local school. He worked as a taxi driver. He was fond of hunting and fishing. On the first day of the full-scale invasion, February 24, 2022, Oleksandr signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 91st Separate Operational Support Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. "Oleksandr was kind, cheerful, fair, always helped relatives and friends in joy and sorrow. He was a Man with a capital letter. Thanks to him, I understood what the purpose of my life was. Only now do I understand and want to say that it belonged only to him. You, my dear, were the very meaning of our life...", said his wife Ksyusha. The defender was buried in the city of Okhtyrka. Oleksandr left behind his parents, his common-law wife, and two daughters.
