Oleksandr S. Khokhlov

Soldier Oleksandr Khokhlов was killed on June 24, 2022 near the village of Volodymyrivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he came under enemy tank fire and sustained fatal injuries. He would have turned 32 in exactly three months. Oleksandr was born in the Krasnodar region (Russia). He lived in Zaporizhzhia since childhood. He received secondary education at gymnasium No. 107. He worked as a security guard. In his free time, he loved to travel by car with his family. During the full-scale war, in April 2022, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 53rd separate mechanized brigade named after Prince Volodymyr Monomakh. Oleksandr held the position of commander of the anti-aircraft missile division of the anti-aircraft missile platoon. "He is the best person in my life! Reliable, caring, kind, hardworking, strong in spirit," said the widow of the fallen Yulia. The defender was buried in Zaporizhzhia. At home, Oleksandr was awaited by his wife and daughter.
