- Military man Oleksandr Kodynets (call sign S.T.A.L.K.E.R.) was killed on April 3, 2023, in a hospital in Dnipro. In the spring of 2022, during the performance of a combat mission near the village of Novovorontsovka in the Kherson region, he sustained injuries as a result of artillery shelling. Later, he went for treatment several times, underwent operations, and returned to service. However, his health deteriorated, and Oleksandr passed away. He was 33 years old. Oleksandr was born and lived in Dnipro. He received secondary education. In 2015-2020, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) / Joint Forces Operation (JFO). He served in the 164th Radio-Technical Brigade of the Air Force of Ukraine, and the 25th Airborne Brigade. In 2019, he participated in the international exercise "Saber Guardian 2019" in Romania. He made 14 parachute jumps. Then he returned to civilian life, but not for long. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, Oleksandr volunteered again to defend his homeland. He fought as part of the 3rd separate infantry battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a grenadier. "Very smart. I don't remember a single question that Oleksandr couldn't answer. He loved to read books. Our family loved to travel. We were so happy together... Because we had the best dad, husband, and son. Our Hero is forever in our hearts," shared the warrior's wife, Viktoria. Oleksandr was buried in the Alley of Heroes in his hometown. He is survived by his mother, wife, and two children.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
