- 28-year-old Senior Sergeant Oleksandr Lavrivskyi (call sign Lavrik) was killedon February 20, 2023 near the settlement of Yahidne in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. Oleksandr was born in the settlement of Molodizhnе in the Kirovohrad region. He graduated from a vocational construction lyceum in the city of Komsomolsk (now Horishni Plavni) in the Poltava region, and obtained the profession of a mechanic for the repair of road construction machinery and tractors. He lived with his family in Horishni Plavni. In peacetime, he worked at the local production and service enterprise "Poltava-Avtocomplex". He was passionate about cars and loved fishing. In 2015-2018, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation. During the full-scale war, the man again took up the defense of his country from the enemy. He served in the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a rifleman-assistant grenadier in the 37th Separate Motorized Infantry Battalion. During his military service, the soldier was repeatedly awarded, in particular in 2023 he was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Steel Cross". "He was the best man, a loving, caring father, strong, courageous, fair, wise beyond his years, a man with a big kind heart," said the wife of the fallen warrior. Oleksandr was buried in the Alley of Glory of the local cemetery in the city of Dolynska in the Kirovohrad region.
