Oleksandr S. Prokopchuk

Soldier Oleksandr Prokopchuk died on September 13, 2023 near the village of Hryhorivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he came under mortar fire and received fatal injuries. The warrior was 29 years old. Oleksandr was a native of the village of Vynohradne in the Mykolaiv region. He received his secondary education at Lyceum No. 2 in the city of Yuzhne. In 2017, he was conscripted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, he lived and worked in his native village. In August 2022, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a grenade launcher assistant. He was awarded the insignia of the 56th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade and the medal "Participant of Combat Operations". Sashko was a good person. He was always smiling, cheerful, and happy. He was the life of the party," his loved ones said. The defender was buried in his native village. He is survived by his parents, brothers, and a son.
