Oleksandr S. Smyrnov

Oleksandr graduated from Novovolynsk General Education School No. 4, and later mastered the specialty of "Automobile Repair Mechanic" at Novovolynsk Higher Vocational School. He studied at the Faculty of Law of Ivan Franko National University of Lviv. Since 2013, he served in the military under contract. He participated in the anti-terrorist operation from the very beginning. During the exit from the Ilovaisk encirclement, he sustained 3 injuries and was taken prisoner; after his release and treatment, he returned to the front. He temporarily performed the duties of a platoon commander and was a candidate for the officer rank.
