Oleksandr S. Stupa

Staff Sergeant Oleksandr Stupa was killed on July 17, 2023 during the performance of a combat mission near the village of Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region. The defender was 48 years old. Oleksandr was born in the village of Mykhaylo-Kotsyubynske, Chernihiv region. He graduated from the local gymnasium No. 19. Then he studied at the Chernihiv Vocational Lyceum of Railway Transport. He worked in various jobs. He was a participant in the ATO. When the full-scale Russian invasion began, the man, having combat experience, took up arms again and went to defend his country from the occupiers. He served in the 4th separate rifle battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior sergeant - commander of a machine gun platoon. "He was very kind. In a difficult and difficult time for our state, he stood up to defend it," said the deceased's relatives. Oleksandr was buried in his native village. He left behind a wife and son.
