Oleksandr S. Yakubenko

Yakubenko Oleksandr Stepanovych was born on October 3, 1967 in the Cherkasy region. He worked as the head of the Interregional Directorate of the National Agency of Ukraine for the Civil Service in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv and Cherkasy regions. With the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, he took up the defense of Ukraine. He was the deputy commander of the rifle battalion for moral and psychological support of the 72nd separate mechanized brigade named after the Black Zaporozhians. He was killed on July 18, 2022 during an enemy artillery attack in the Donetsk region. He was buried in the Nabutiv community of the Cherkasy district of the Cherkasy region.
