Oleksandr V. Bakhmach

Border guard Olexander Bahmach was killed on May 10, 2024 near the city of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region. During his official duties, he sustained an explosive injury. The warrior was forever 37 years old. Oleksandr was born in the city of Lozova in the Kharkiv region. He grew up honest and decent. He first received his education at the Lozivsky Educational Complex No. 10. He constantly participated in extracurricular activities, and among the subjects he singled out pre-conscription training for young men. He knew how to shoot accurately. Later, he studied at the Vocational School No. 56 and became an electrician. He worked at various enterprises in the region. Later, he entered the Lozivska branch of the Kharkiv Automobile and Road Technical School, specializing in "Maintenance and Repair of Automobiles and Engines". He worked for 10 years at the railway. He was an electrical fitter for the repair and maintenance of electrical equipment at the Lozova station. He was respected by his colleagues and was a master of his craft. He has been defending Ukraine in the East since 2015. During the ATO / OOS, he was wounded and was transferred to the reserve of the 1st reserve company of the 92nd separate assault brigade named after the Koshovy Otaman Ivan Sirko. In 2015-2016, he served in the Kharkiv border detachment, and in September 2022 he again took up the defense of Ukraine. "Sincere, sociable, ready to help," is how his acquaintances and colleagues remembered him. The soldier was buried in the village of Domakha in the Kharkiv region. Oleksandr is survived by his wife and other relatives.
